Dr. Sunny embarked on the journey of founding SunnyDays Pediatric Therapy driven by an impassioned mission to redefine pediatric rehabilitation for children with disabilities. Witnessing firsthand the unique challenges faced by infants and toddlers in need of specialized care, she recognized a gap in the existing healthcare landscape in Northern Virginia. Fueled by a commitment to healthcare accessibility, Dr. Sunny envisioned a space where innovation, empathy, and top-tier expertise converged.

Dr. Sunny's Vision

Dr. Sunny strongly believes in the power of early intervention, recognizing that it is key to fostering neuroplastic changes and setting the foundation for a lifetime of well-being. Her aspiration led to the establishment of the very first DMI physical therapy intensive program in Northern Virginia! This commitment goes beyond business; it’s a dedication to making a meaningful difference in the lives of families and the broader community, fostering a space where children can thrive, overcome challenges, and reach their full potential.

Dr. Sunny earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from MGH (Massachusetts General Hospital) Institute of Health Professions in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Sunny has completed clinical affiliations within the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital network, widely known as a national leader in rehabilitative care. Her interest in pediatrics led her to practice in the outpatient pediatric setting, working with children up to 21 years old with orthopedic through neurologic conditions, with many of these children having complex movement challenges.

Dr. Sunny also has experience practicing in the early intervention home-based setting, working closely with children 0-3 years old and families, using the parent coaching model. Dr. Sunny currently holds her Intro Level C certification in Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI), and is deeply passionate about sharing this revolutionary intensive model of therapy with her patients and families. Amongst her education, she brings experience in whole body vibration, neurodevelopmental techniques, electrical stimulation, orthotic recommendation, gait analysis, MNRI reflex integration, and orthopedic and manual skills.
